In an open letter released today, Michael Park, corporate vice president, sales, marketing and operations for Microsoft Business Solutions, announced the availability of a $200 rebate for new Microsoft Dynamics customers that make the switch to Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online. The rebate can be applied to various services, including migrating data or customizing the solution to meet specific needs, and will be available until June 30th, 2011.
In the letter, Park wrote, If you are looking for a CRM system that will deliver productivity for your people, offer flexibility to your business and work with your existing IT investments, you should consider Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online. In making the switch from other solutions, such as Salesforce.com, you will join thousands of companies that have found that Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online is easier to use, adds value to the technology investments theyve already made and delivers greater business insight.”
Park also claimed, Data Reduction Systems switched from Salesforce.com and has since saved more than 50 percent in user costs and reached 100 percent user adoption. In addition, in just one month since switching CRM systems, Smead realized a 75 percent decrease in annual subscription costs and a 20 percent increase in user adoption. Both companies saw improved business intelligence and collaboration.”
It seems like Microsoft is looking to poach customers from Salesforce.com, Salesforces partners and other CRM companies with this rebate,” said Raj Mehta, president and CEO of Infosys International, a Salesforce.com partner. Mehta added: Microsofts rebate and press campaign indicates that the company should not be taken lightly in the field of hosted CRM; ultimately, this should create more interest about CRM services and help to drive more businesses to inquire about the technology. The real question here, though, is how will Microsoft work with their partners to pursue new opportunities, or will those partners be left out in the cold.”
