Fiber optic-based solutions provider Sidera Networks has acquired Cross Connect Solutions, a Philadelphia-based carrier-neutral colocation provider. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition means Sidera will expand its existing colocation service offering and customer base in Philadelphia’s Central Business District. The addition of Cross Connect Solutions will add 28,000 square feet of colocation space to Sidera’s more than 100,000 total square feet of colocation space.
"We continue to see strong demand for carrier-neutral colocation space throughout our footprint. This transaction allows Sidera to build upon its robust colocation offering, adding one more facility to our 26 existing facilities," said Mike Sicoli, CEO of Sidera Networks.
"It is clear that the two companies have a shared vision of providing outstanding service and support. As part of Sidera Networks, Cross Connect Solutions’ customers will continue to receive the same high level of service and support they have in the past, coupled with the added benefit of working with a provider who has a broader portfolio of services and capabilities," said Kevin Mulqueen, CEO of Cross Connect Solutions.
" this facility is the key telecommunications data center serving Philadelphia and is in the heart of the Sidera footprint. As such it is a natural extension of our capabilities, and we look forward to serving our customers from that location," said Felipe Alvarez, president and COO of Sidera Networks.
