Logitech Introduces Webcams, Headsets in Time for Microsoft Lync

On the heels of Microsofts unveiling of its next-generation Office Communications Server, Logitech has introduced a line of unified communications peripherals to take advantage of Lyncs capabilities.

The company, which is a Microsoft Certified Gold Partner, has expanded its line of business HD webcams and headsets that are optimized for Microsoft Lync 2010. The announcements were made during the Microsoft Lync launch event, held in New York.

Among Logitechs offerings optimized for Microsoft Lync is its B910 HD Webcam, which offers 720p HD videoconferencing and stereo audio for business users on their PC and is available today in the United States and Europe. Lync-optimized corded and wireless headsets are planned for release in early 2011, according to the company.

Logitech also offers a portfolio of enterprise videoconferencing products through its LifeSize division, enabling Lync users to take full advantage of the video component of unified communications.

“Part of our effort to bring seamless HD video communications to anyone, anywhere, on any connected screen includes supporting personal and collaborative communications in the enterprise as well as their integration into business processes,” said Eric Kintz, vice president and general manager of Logitech’s video business. “With this lineup of UC products optimized for Lync, we’re helping to bring the value of UC to life enabling businesses to take full advantage of their UC investments.”
