Verizon Wireless, which announced earlier this year that it would not stock any of Microsofts Windows Phone 7 devices in 2010, apparently wont wait long into the new year before unveiling some on its network.
Some Verizon tipsters have spilled the beans to the crew over at Engadget that a CDMA version of the HTC Trophy will be available early in 2011.” The news came in the form of a brochure to the carriers employees, which says itll be available for $199.99. The Trophys specs include a 5MP camera, 3.8-inch display and 16GB of storage.
The Trophy might be a good pick-up for business travelers. Its referred to as a quad-band global phone” capable of roaming on GSM networks around the world.
Microsoft has put on a pretty good marketing blitz for its newest mobile operating system, which takes the place of Windows Mobile. That OS took a market-share beating from Apples iOS and Android in the past couple of years.
