Lightyear Network Solutions Inc. announced Tuesday that it has added new Authorized Agent Partners and independent representatives from 16 states during the past 90 days. The number of agents was not disclosed; however, Lightyear management said these new agents have the potential to drive more than a million dollars in new revenue in 2011 sell Lightyears data, voice and wireless services to business and residential customers.
We are already seeing results from our efforts to aggressively recruit new sales agents from across the country,” said Lightyear CEO J. Sherman Henderson III in a press statement. In September, for example, which was one of our best months this year, approximately 73 percent of our new business was derived from our new sales agents, and we expect them to continue to help drive organic growth going forward.”
One of the new partners is Chris Sauter, owner of Carmason Group, an agency is based in Littleton, Colo. Being a Lightyear agent affords me the opportunity to leverage the companys strong carrier agreements and competitive pricing to gain considerable advantages for my large-volume, long-distance customers and win their business,” Sauter said. Also, Ive found that the companys back-office sales, marketing and quoting support has been second to none.”
In addition to reselling major wireline carriers, Lightyear offers wireless services through wholesale contracts with multiple wireless providers. It also built its own VoIP network in 2004.
