There will be a handful of smartphones unveiled soon for the new Windows Phone 7 operating system from Microsoft, and Samsung is trying to beat its competitors to the punch this holiday season.
The electronics giant says its new Focus will go on sale at AT&T Wireless retail stores and online on Monday, Nov. 8.
Samsung says the Focus features a customizable start screen and improved operating system look as well as a large, iconic text for menus and content transitions to slide a user into and out of different menus. With the Windows 7 tile-based layout, users can customize the start screen in countless ways and pin frequently used applications for one-touch access. Users can have up to 256 live tiles on the start screen. The Focus also features natural touch and voice interactions, has a responsive, multi-touch display with voice activated dialing and app launch.
