Wholesaler Mammoth Networks, a facilities-based aggregator of fiber and data circuits, announced this week that John Hogan, J.D., was named as its new vice president of business development with oversight of the companys indirect sales channel.
Hogan comes to Mammoth from XO Communications where he led a direct sales team. Prior to that he was director of the Pacific Region for the Qwest Business Partner Program, managing a 14-person team of channel managers that supported 35 direct business partners and more than 200 subagents. Hogan is a graduate of Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College and the University of California at Davis, and is a member of the Oregon State Bar.
Mammoth employs a two-tier partner program that now includes five master agents. The indirect sales efforts previously were managed by Mammoth CEO Brian Worthen and Sales Manager Stacey Vandell. Moving forward Hogan will lead Mammoths channel development efforts, and Vandell will be responsible for day-to-day agent management and support.
According to a company spokesperson, Hogans immediate goals are to enhance existing strategies and develop new ones to reach a boarder audience among agents that have service provider customers. Long-term, we wish to assist agents in two categories: one, acting as a one-stop shop for their service provider clients (ISPs, WISPs, ILECs, CLECs, DLECs, voice providers, etc.), and, two, supporting their business clients transition from legacy networks to Ethernet services,” the spokesperson said.
Founded in 2005, Mammoth serves 14 Western states with its layer 2 DSL network and the lower 48 states with its private-line services.
