LG-Ericsson Unveils Hybrid Key System for SMB

LG-Ericsson has come out with its first communications offering, just two months after establishing itself in the space.

The ipLDK-60 is a hybrid key telephone system aimed at the SMB space and designed to enable companies to take advantage of VoIP without having to move to an all-IP system. The scalable solution supports up to 48 digital or analog extensions and supports a variety of terminals including digital, analog and IP phones as well as and fax machines. It supports analog, digital and SIP trunks, making migration a full VoIP solution easy via IP expansion cards.

Features of the ipLDK-60 include auto hold, call forwarding, call coverage, call log, call parking, call screening, camp on, conferencing for up to 15 parties, Do Not Disturb, Meet Me paging, messaging, mobile phone support, multi-lingual display, speed dial, music on hold and background music, automatic call distribution, account codes, alarms, Direct Inward Dialing (DID), CO line distinctive ringing, emergency call service, internal/external paging, wake-up service, full-featured attendant and voicemail capabilities, according to the company.

This includes all basic PBX functionality, but the benefit of the hybrid system is the IP capabilities, so a user can add SIP trunks,” said Tony Stramandinoli, vice president of Marketing at LG-Ericsson, Also, installing IP phones are a lot easier you can just pick up the phone and move it anywhere there is an Internet connection.

When we announced the company we said wed be coming out with a number of new products, and this is the first of those products,” he added.

Stramandinoli noted that the key hybrid solutions will only be offered to the SMB space. Larger user bases will see a pure-IP solution available next month, that supports up to 1,200 users,” he said.

LG-Ericsson systems are sold exclusively through the channel. Since its inception, the company has been working hard to build its channel base, Stramandinoli said, and so far has signed up about 100 partners.
