Whaleback Systems unveiled Thursday the Great Point Managed IP Telephony platform, which is billed as the companys most integrated, turnkey platform ensuring maximum uptime, reducing implementation time and easing on-site administration via centralized web management.
Great Point offers enterprise-grade IP telephony features, including find-me follow-me” for simultaneous ringing of desk and cell handsets, music or marketing messages on hold, advanced voice mail capabilities, and a 911 capability that pinpoints the location of remote users.
Whaleback has been dedicated to the SMB market since its inception six years ago, and therefore, we have learned how to best-deliver quality of service to SMBs, and what they are specifically looking for,” said Wray West, founder and CTO, Whaleback Systems. We have built the Great Point platform so that it delivers the features that SMBs want, and also offers them the option of adding new features as they become available.”
West also noted that the managed platform also is attractive to VARs. It is a simple install, and there is a very low labor cost to install and maintain it,” he said. The new plug and play device reduces implementation time by nearly 70 percent, the company said.
Whaleback Systems VAR Chuck Garabedian, owner of IntelliVon, agreed. With the Great Point release, we can add more features for our SMB customers, such as integration with cell phones and other mobile devices. And because it is an open Linux-based platform, these additional features can be added quicker, and at a better price point so I can be more competitive in the market,” he said.
