Conferencing service provider Connex International has named Dave Tevendale to lead the companys channel efforts.
Tevendale, who was channel manager at Connex, was promoted to director of channel partner sales. In that role, he will be responsible for the development, support and profitability of Connexs Channel Partner Program for certified resellers and authorized agents. He leads a team of conferencing associates that support resellers and agents efforts.
Certified resellers offer Connex services under their own brand and Connex operates as a private-label service behind the scenes on their behalf. Authorized agents, however, sell Connex services under the Connex brand, and receive residual monthly commissions. Connex has some partners that have blended the two models to meet their business objectives, the company noted.
Connex has worked with resellers since its inception 30 years ago, according to the company, but by organizing its efforts and building strategic initiatives around a formal program, the company has seen its channel partner revenue double every year since 2007.
Tevendale started his career in conferencing at Raindance Communications in Louisville, Colo., before taking the role of channel sales manager at Connex. In that position, he took the lead in building Connexs Channel Partner Program.
As director, Tevendale will work to drive 40 percent of Connexs top line company revenue through the channel by 2012. Connex officials noted that the company anticipates much of this growth will come from the non-commodity event conferencing space.
Dave has been instrumental in focusing on and building our certified reseller and authorized agent programs. His can-do attitude and commitment to help his partners grow make him the perfect choice to lead this division of Connex,” said Debora Volansky, CEO at Connex.
