Ten-shun! Verizon Wireless, ZTE Salute With New Phone

Verizon Wireless is now offering a handset from ZTE USA for the first time.

Known as the Salute, the slim slider phone gives you up to four hours of talk time and nearly that much standby time on one charge. It includes a 1.3-megapixel camera, a 2.4-inch screen, and its mobile Web capable. It also has a speakerphone and Bluetooth headset support.

Other features include:

  • Messaging: text, picture and voice; mobile e-mail, mobile Web e-mail and chat capable
  • Micro USB 2.0 compatible
  • Media Center: access to downloadable games, ringtones, wallpapers, etc.
  • Social Beat Application: offers a single point for accessing social networking sites, allowing you to stay connected to Facebook, Twitter and MySpace
  • VZ Navigator Capabilities: You can get audible, turn-by-turn directions to millions of points of interest and share the directions with others

The Salute will set you back $19.95 after a $50 rebate and a two-year service agreement.
