Kaviza Officially Launches Partner Program

Up-and-coming desktop virtualization vendor Kaviza has announced the formal launch of its Partner and Solutions Network (KPSN) program for resellers and systems integrators. Though the company has sold its VDI-in-a-Box flagship product exclusively through the channel since its release last October, the program marks the companys first official moves toward more significant channel enablement, representing a real push to broaden its partner base.

And to kick off the new program, Kaviza has lined up two prominent integrators in the field of desktop virtualization design, Entisys and Agile360 (a division of Entisys).

Its a logical step for Kaviza, which has maintained a somewhat low profile even while racking up impressive awards from Synergy, Gartner, eWeek and Network Products for its VDI-in-a-Box, which uses a grid architecture to lower costs, and delivers the industrys first and only affordable turnkey virtual desktop solution designed specifically for desktop budgets, desktop IT, and desktop user needs.

Customers are looking for a viable alternative to how they manage desktops today, and they want a complete solution that is easy to use and affordable, said Kumar K. Goswami, ECEO of Kaviza. By partnering with market leaders, such as Entisys and Agile 360, experts in desktop virtualization who are committed to the same goals as Kaviza, we can offer customers the complete meal at a restaurant, rather than a trip to the supermarket.

KPSN is a two-tier global program aimed at partners, solutions providers and integrators focused on affordable, simplified desktop virtualization for the small to medium-sized enterprise market. The Premier tier of KPSN, which the company is keeping somewhat limited for now, provides greater training and closer collaboration with Kaviza, which is looking for integrators to supply an-end-to-end solution for businesses that want to migrate to a virtualized environment slowly and right-size their solution as required, whether on a per-application or single department basis, to lower costs and risk. For its part, Kaviza expects its Premium partners to open up a wider customer base through their role as trusted advisors and ability to demonstrate readily-definable business results.
