Toshiba America Information Systems Inc., Telecommunication Systems Division announced Tuesday that it has added fax features to Strata Messaging unified messaging solution, enabling small and medium business customers to manage incoming and outgoing faxes.
Strata Messaging supports two to 8 ports of voice mail, up to 400 mailboxes and has 300 hours of storage.
Among the new fax capabilities is fax mail, which allows users to receive faxes in a voice mailbox, view them via unified message or reroute to a physical fax machine. Users also can send faxes from their desktops, reroute them to a secondary mailbox, automatically print incoming faxes to a network printer, log outbound faxes sent and queued.
In addition, fax on-demand capabilities allow incoming callers to access a library of documents and select a specific fax document to be faxed to them.
To enable the features, enterprises need to purchase the fax license and gateway. Some features, such as fax mail and fax from desktop, also require users to have unified messaging licenses.
Strata Messaging is compatible with Toshibas Strata CIX family of IP business communications systems, including the CIX40, CIX100, CIX200, CIX670 and CIX1200 as well as the smaller Toshiba VoIP systems, the Strata CIX40 and CIX100.
