The City of Denver soon will house 200 more jobs thanks to IP communications service provider Cbeyond Inc.
Cbeyond said this week it will hire 200 tech support staff for its new Denver call center, which is scheduled to open in September. Cbeyond will host an open house on June 18 for people interested in applying to work at the call center. Required attributes include technical troubleshooting abilities, customer service finesse, and a background in telecom and Cisco technology. Cbeyond is encouraging candidates to pre-register for the event at firstname.lastname@example.org; people also can apply for the support jobs through Cbeyonds website.
“We are excited about opening the new Cbeyond call center both because it’s great to be able to bring new jobs to Denver and also because it will help us continue to deliver what our small business customers need from us,” Ashish Bisaria, vice president of Cbeyonds customer service operations, said in a prepared statement. Bisaria added that as Cbeyond has grown, the companys West Coast customers would prefer a more geographically diverse customer service presence Cbeyond is headquartered in Atlanta, Ga.
The Denver area has, over the years, become a hub for high-tech activity. Companies including Qwest Communications International Inc., Level 3 Communications Inc., tw telecom inc. and Dish Network all are based in the metro region and Sun Microsystems runs a major campus nearby.
