Equipment powerhouse Avaya Inc. announced this week changes in its leadership structure that reach across its organization.
Joel Hackney will replace Todd Abbot as senior vice president of global sales and marketing as well as president of field operations. Abbott is leaving the company but will stay on through a transition period. Hackney, who has been running Avaya’s data and government solutions units, will continue to run the government unit.
The data solutions group will now be run by Steve Bandrowsczak , who has been servings as the unit’s vice president of sales and marketing. In his new role of as vice president and general manager of Avaya Data Solutions, Brandrowczak will become a member of Avaya’s executive committee and report directly to Avaya CEO Kevin Kennedy.
Additionally, Avaya announced that Jim Chirico, its chief restructure officer and president, has been appointed as executive vice president of business operations as an expansion of his current executive responsibilities.
All changes are effective June 14th.
