Panda Security, a cloud security vendor, has extended its burgeoning partner roster to include Software Express, one of the larger privately owned software resellers in the United States specializing in the academic, government and nonprofit organizations markets.
As part of its volume licensing software sales drive, Software Express also will offer Panda Cloud Protection, an enhanced managed security service that offers instantaneous, low-footprint security for endpoints, the Web and e-mail on an anywhere/anytime basis.
Software Express said it decided to represent Panda because of the companys 20-year track record for reliability and quality customer service, and its strong reputation among end-users. Our customers are looking for powerful, easy-to-manage solutions that can protect students and employees confidential data stored on local and remote systems, said Rob Delevan, senior territory manager for Software Express. Because the service operates in the cloud and is managed through a Web-based administrative console, we can provide service and support to our clients whenever and wherever necessary without impacting the performance of their PCs or networks.
Both companies stress the advantages of the cloud-based security model for both end-users and VARs alike, due to Cloud Protections streamlined, low-touch security and fully hosted 24×7 management capabilities, allowing VARs to upsell high-quality security packages with fewer resources. Both companies expect Pandas solutions to boost Software Expresss margins, number of deal registrations, and overall customer satisfaction.
