Attempting to broaden its reseller base in Western Europe, VoIP phone-maker snom said it is putting on a series of events in the largest European countries over the next several weeks. After beginning in Munich on March 23, the road show is moving on to Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, France, Sweden, Denmark, and the U.K., wrapping up in May.
The company said the events are designed to “give channel partners an insight into its product roadmap and future plans.”
Attendees who pay the $136 entrance fee will also receive a snom 320 VoIP telephone.
Known for its sleek, relatively low-cost desktop models, snom has embarked on an aggressive series of product launches over the last several months, and is actively targeting new reseller partners. At the Channel Partners Conference and Expo in Las Vegas last month, the Berlin-based company displayed new lines for both the small and medium-sized business market and for larger enterprises. The new products included the snom 870 touchscreen device, for desktops, as well as a unified communications line, the OCS, and the MeetingPoint IP conference phone. The 870 is the latest in snom’s 8 series of “fourth-generation” SIP phones.
Also last month, snom announced a new expansion module for the 8 series, called the snom Vision. The new module adds 16 fully programmable keys per unit, which can be used for speed dial, busy line field, presence, mini-browser or other applications.
Each snom 820 or 870 VoIP phone is capable of supporting three Vision modules, totaling 48 programmable endpoint monitors per phone.
