Hawkeye has allied with MSP Partners, a subgroup of the IT association CompTIA, to provide MSP Partners’ 5,000 members with three months of complimentary premium access to Hawkeye’s PartnerConduit Network (PCN), a vendor-neutral partner-to-partner collaboration community.
PCN is an online community enables participating partners to connect with like-minded partners, collaborate on new business and deliver more comprehensive solutions to their customers.
One of the key goals of the site – and a stated reason for MSP Partners’ decision to ally with PCN — is to help partners to extend their reach by matching other partners’ expertise, certification and credentials with their business requirements.
Speaking at the Channel Partners Conference & Expo this week, Jim Hamilton, senior director of member relations for MSP Partners, said that the varying partner types – telephony agents, data VARs, PBX dealers, etc. – all have a need to pair up to deliver the advances managed and cloud-based services customers expect today.
PCN also enables partners to identify, qualify and sell advanced customer solutions from multiple vendors. They also can manage the entire collaboration process from implementation to customer delivery securely on the network.
In addition, one of the unique features of PCN is the ability to earn and award Collaboration Currency based on performance. This currency can be used to obtain PCN or supplier services or redeem for cash. “It ultimately pays for itself,” said Steve Murphy, vice president of e-collaboration services for hawkeye Channel, noting the ability to earn rewards that can be used to offset costs.
The premium service normally costs $99 per month. After the three free months, members can continue the service at the $99 per month rate or downgrade to the basic level at $69 per month or free member level.
