Smoothstone IP Communications (Booth #1333) is announcing at the Channel Partners Conference & Expo the creation of a new channel development program led by Vice President of Business Development & Channel Management, Jim Tennant.
The revamped program will help to strengthen the company’s relationships with existing and new partners by providing the tools and support necessary to help them sell Unified Communications – as cloud-based services and on-demand applications – more effectively.
“Smoothstone’s channel partners have always been a fundamental part of our coverage model, driving a substantial percentage of our yearly revenue,” emphasized Tennant. “With that in mind, we recognized the need to develop activities and programs that enable our partners to better demonstrate, to their clients, how our unique offerings deliver the operational and economic benefits of IP-based Unified Communications along with the advantages of cloud-services which align expenses with business needs and free a client’s IT resources from the daily headaches of managing communications infrastructure and services.”
Smoothstone’s multi-tiered approach to channel development includes working with existing partners to ensure that they are a successful fit for Smoothstone’s services, educating partners to recognize and successfully qualify prospect customers, and development of a partner web portal.
“Our longer-term goals also include piloting a marketing development fund program,” added Tennant. “This strategic initiative will allow partners to leverage Smoothstone’s extensive pool of marketing resources for outreach to potential clients.”
