Westcon Group Inc. announced that its Westcon Convergence business practice has created “RapidRamp,” an onboarding resource for resellers looking to increase their skills and knowledge in selling Avaya products. RapidRamp, which features a range of in-person courses taught by industry professionals, as well as on-demand content modules, is designed to help new Avaya channel partners accelerate their success in selling Avaya products and services.
Once enrolled in RapidRamp, resellers can choose from beginning or advanced coursework in three basic curriculum channels: operational, sales and technical. Each course is taught by qualified personnel from Westcon Convergence, Avaya and Avaya Partners. Typical course titles range from “Mid-Markets Solution Selling” to “Avaya Solutions Designer One On One,” and are delivered as webinars, module downloads or in classroom settings.
“RapidRamp is the latest and most powerful of several initiatives we have undertaken to help new Avaya channel partners increase their chances at business success,” commented Steve Bernard, vice president and general manager, Westcon Convergence. “Once a reseller signs on to RapidRamp, which is complimentary to our loyal customers, they are provided with a wide array of strategic resources; not only course content, but dedicated account managers, business development managers and onboarding experts to help make sure their specific business needs are being looked after.”
RapidRamp represents yet another onboarding and training initiative Westcon Convergence has launched following Avaya’s recent acquisition of Nortel. Recently, a series of Avaya New Partner Boot Camps in the U.S. and Canada was introduced. These two-and-a-half-day events provide new Avaya Partners with a detailed road map of Avaya product and services, while providing a path for current Nortel partners to become Authorized Avaya Partners.
“Westcon’s unique history of serving as a global distributor for both Avaya and Nortel helps ensure a high-caliber experience for our channel partners,” said Mike Reid, vice president, Americas Distributor Channel, Avaya. “Through RapidRamp, new Avaya Partners can efficiently learn about the resources that Westcon Convergence offers and how to best leverage Avaya’s solutions and services for in both SME and large enterprise environments.”
