Upon the completion of the company’s acquisition by Oracle, Sun channel partners might be a little worried about top execs’ attraction to the direct channel. In fact, on top of the wooing that IBM has been doing for a while, IBM reports Sun partners expressing more and more interest in joining its channel. IBM is reporting success with building relationships with Sun ISVs and other partners, and plans to be able to offer them even more in the way of training and support in the near future.
Oracle might have beat out IBM to acquire Sun; but only time will tell just who gets the majority of the channel.
