SGI, a result of Rackable Systems acquiring Silicon Graphics last year, has announced a new channel program.
The company desires to add a limited number of specialized partners to sell its data center products and services. Partners have the option of becoming an SGI Platinum Partner, achieving $3 million in annual sales or becoming SGI-accredited and selling $1 in product; or partners can become SGI Authorized Partners, which has no sales quotas, but offers only limited discounts and resources. Partners have access to an online partner portal, providing sales and marketing tools and deal registration opportunities.
