PAETEC Holding Corp. (PAET) announced it has been recognized for a second consecutive year as a Best Large Company to Work For in New York state by the New York State Society for Human Resource Management (NYS-SHRM). The company was previously ranked tenth in the large company category in the 2009 list, and the final 2010 rankings will be revealed at the awards dinner on Wednesday, April 21, in Albany. More than 25 percent of PAETEC’s 3,600 employees reside in New York state.
“Receiving this recognition for a second year in a row is a tremendous honor for our employees and validation of our unique corporate culture,” said Arunas Chesonis, PAETEC chairman and CEO. “Since our inception, we’ve believed that a strong focus on the needs of our employees and their families will ultimately translate into superior service and performance for our customers.”
NYS-SHRM and Best Companies Group formed a partnership to launch the awards program in New York state in 2007. Forty New York-based companies are recognized in two categories: 25 small/medium companies (15-249 employees) and 15 large companies (250 or more employees).
Companies were selected based on an assessment of the workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics, as well as results of an internal employee survey conducted by the Best Companies Group measuring the employee experience.
