Westcon Group Inc. and LogLogic, a provider of log management and security event management, have announced that Westcon will distribute LogLogic’s log management appliances and security applications to customers throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.
LogLogic’s solutions, which are compatible with the vast majority of Westcon Group’s other vendor solutions including Cisco, Avaya, Nortel, Microsoft, Polycom and others, provide a searchable, appliance-based platform for collecting, storing, reporting and alerting on user and system activity data. This allows IT administrators to monitor privileged user access more effectively while optimizing server uptime and meeting compliance regulations.

Westcon’s agreement with LogLogic enables Westcon’s customers to offer pre-packaged compliance suites with out-of-the box reports and alerts for PCI, Sarbanes-Oxley (COBIT), HIPAA, ISO, ITIL, FISMA and NERC. Also, compliance and business processes can be quickly transformed from log data into intelligence.
