The San Francisco Bay Area is the latest major population center to get an upgrade. AT&T has spent more than $65 million in that region this year, deploying more 850MHz spectrum and improving 800 cellular sites there.
The company expects Bay Area customers to start getting better reception inside their homes and faster speeds with fewer dropped calls, if they’re not seeing that already.
AT&T has added 40 cell sites this year and says its infrastructure in the area is also better.
