ClearOne (CLRO) announced it has named Buzz Goddard vice president, Worldwide Residential Sales, subsequent to its acquisition of NetStreams. In his new role, Goddard will report directly to Joseph Sorrentino, ClearOne’s executive vice president of Worldwide Sales, and immediately assume global responsibility for NetStreams’ residential sales. This will include all domestic and international channel partners and manufacturing representatives that are part of NetStreams’ global residential market presence. Previously, Goddard headed up the international sales efforts for NetStreams as vice president of International Sales.
“Buzz started the consumer electronics division of Lexicon and was a founding member of the Consumer Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA). He has held senior management positions at AudioAccess, Cambridge SoundWorks/Creative Labs and Harman International,” said Sorrentino. “We are privileged to have someone with Buzz’s extensive experience in the CEDIA market to take over this newly created role for ClearOne and NetStreams. His experience with the CEDIA sales channel globally will allow him to hit the ground running.”
“I am delighted to be able to further expand NetStreams position as the leader in IP audio, video and control for the global CEDIA market,” said Goddard. “This is a fantastic opportunity that comes at a unique time. ClearOne understands and shares our vision of the critical importance of the worldwide CEDIA market and values NetStreams strong presence in the residential market.”
