A new survey by PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) revealed that while business budgets have been hacked to pieces, IT security budgets have largely survived. According to results from the 7,200 C-level executives surveyed, security budgets have remained level or seen increases this year. However, this finding also coincides with other results showing that IT security budgets are under increased scrutiny as to their effectiveness.
This should come as good news to VARs and agents selling security solutions. Not only is there budgetary room for new solutions, but there is an increasing need to provide consulting and/or serve as the trusted advisor to ensure the success of those applications.
