Just last month, it was reported that a Palm rep said the company never wanted Verizon as a partner; now that report is being viewed with a lot of skepticism. There’s talk that Verizon might carry an enhanced version of the Pre with a larger screen than the existing smartphone, but that hasn’t been officially addressed.
There’s still the possibility that Palm will extend its exclusive carrier agreement with Sprint, but most signs point to the likelihood that exclusivity will wrap sometime around the end of the year.
The Pre just made its debut in the U.K. last week.
