The new system, called the Agent Online Quoting Tool, will enable the CLEC’s indirect sales agents to independently qualify opportunities, create pricing quotes and produce service agreements for PAETEC’s products.
Currently, the software allows agents to price a range of products, including dynamic IP, dedicated Internet access, PRI ISDN circuits and equipment rental. Additional products will be added over time. Meanwhile, PAETEC’s channel managers will continue to support pricing for products not yet available in the quoting tool.
The software is based on the company’s Profit Assistant Online system, which PAETEC employees have used for years to create their quotes and evaluate the profitability of sales proposals. PAETEC’s agents now will be able to use the software to build customized solutions specific to their client’s needs and price them competitively without contacting a channel manager. Agents can design customized and personalized proposals and instantly generate on-demand service agreements if the proposal meets minimum financial thresholds for PAETEC.
