Asterisk for Smart Cube gives small and medium business (SMB) customers using Smart Cube the ability to set up a business phone and unified communication system that can be downloaded, configured and up-and-running within half an hour.
The IBM Smart Cube is a pre-integrated solution consisting of hardware, operating system, security, backup, middleware and required components to run business applications that SMBs can download from the IBM Smart Market. The total solution integrates with IBM Domino and Lotus Sametime for multimedia collaboration and unified messaging.
Asterisk for Smart Cube runs on the x86 appliance platform. The phone system features are controlled through the Smart Cube user interface and are based on the Asterisk Business Edition telephony engine. Features include telephony capabilities, such as voice mail, conferencing, auto attendant, music on hold, call recording, call routing, ring groups, automatic call distribution, dial plans, and industry-standard SIP trunking and SIP line support. It also includes support for VoIP, digital or analog calling to the PSTN.
Asterisk for Smart Cube is sold and supported by IBM as the single point of contact for the buyer and backed by Digium.
Customers can choose options that allow 20 concurrent calls for $1,995 or 40 concurrent calls for $3,990. Both options include a one-year subscription to 24×7 support, as well as options to purchase additional years of support. The product is currently available in the United States and India.
