New Edge offers private network services, including MPLS services with SLAs across an array of access options, including DSL, T1, DS3 and EVDO. New Edge’s managed network services reach 95 percent of business addresses in the United States.
X4’s Premier Partners have demonstrated financial stability, a unique product offering and excellent and consistent customer care and delivery. New Edge was selected based on its seven-year relationship with X4 during which New Edge successfully delivered client networks, participated in co-marketing campaigns and worked together to bring products and services to X4’s business customers. X4 also has been an active member of the New Edge Agent Advisory Council.
“We see this as a significant milestone in our companies’ profitable and long-term relationship,” said Steve Braverman, founder and CEO of X4 Communications. “It is clear to us that New Edge is no longer just a DSL aggregator, but clearly has a unique offer that positions the company as a premier provider of blended private network solutions over one of the nation’s largest data networks. The new leadership at New Edge and renewed commitment to the agent channel makes this company truly deserving of premier status.”
New Edge announced in August that channel veteran J.R. Cook joined the company as managing director for the agent channel, a new position created to lead the formation of a dedicated agent channel.
Cook joins New Edge Networks from TelePacific Communications where most recently he was vice president of premier accounts. Previously, he was a director in the Telepartner Channel. Before TelePacific, Cook built the agent channel for Mpower Communications, which was acquired by TelePacific in 2006. Cook joins fellow TelePacific alum Cardi Prinzi, who was tapped as president of New Edge Networks in mid-June.
