Cavalier, a provider of competitive telecommunications services throughout the eastern United States, has announced the expansion of its IPeer advanced IP telephony solution into the Richmond and Norfolk, Va. markets. IPeer is a hosted PBX business service that provides a rich set of IP PBX features, like Live Message Screening, unified messaging, auto-attendant and call center queuing. IPeer makes businesses more efficient by integrating landline voice service, fax, voice mail, e-mail and mobile phone service, the company said.
“By making IPeer available in the Richmond and Norfolk metropolitan areas, Cavalier is able to deliver unified communications services to a large customer base we have served for more than 10 years,” said Lou Sommi, senior vice president of marketing at Cavalier. “With communications systems becoming obsolete so rapidly, Cavalier’s IPeer network-based solution allows organizations to scale quickly to meet growing needs while offering the latest applications. Simply put, IPeer allows businesses to communicate and operate more efficiently and affordably.”
IPeer allows customers to have complete control of system administration functions, like moving stations, adding users, changing call forwarding or auto-attendant queues, easily and quickly while on site or via a Web portal. Individual users can control features, messages and call processing from their phone, from the Web or from a desktop dashboard. IPeer is based on technology from MetaSwitch.
