While the Palm Pre opened to mixed reviews in the U.S., it didn’t take long for it to get its first sparkling marks in Canada.
One week after its release there, The Edmonton Sun has a lot of great things to say about the smartphone, calling it “giddily sci-fi,” “quite nifty” and “fun to use.”
While describing it as a “chunky, squat black number,” the reviewer doesn’t see that as a negative. The only flaws the article finds are its relatively short battery life and a lack of apps compared to the iPhone.
The Sun’s final verdict on the Pre is that the features available overcome the phone’s battery issues – and it “could cause gadget love at first sight.”
Oh, and for those Canadians who speak French, the article reminds you that the phone is pronounced “pree,” not “pray.”
