Hewlett-Packard has announced it is offering more flexible software licensing options to managed services VARs. The company feels this move will drive more managed services biz through the channel by enabling VARs to approach smaller businesses with limited budgets.
VARs now have the option of choosing a multitenant, utility and subscription or dedicated perpetual software licensing model. Currently, VARs produce nearly 50 percent of HP’s software sales.
