With news that another 7,000 workers have to come to a tentative agreement with AT&T, about half of the more than 100,000 employees covered under the company’s core wireline contracts have now settled with the telco giant.
The latest to strike a deal affects workers in all regions of the country who are covered under a CWA communications and technologies contract. It still must be ratified. The news follows the biggest agreement to date earlier this month that included 23,000 workers in California and Nevada.
Health care costs have been at the core of the disagreement nationwide.
