Networking gear vendor D-Link Systems Inc. added two senior marketing executives to its expanding field marketing program in support of the company’s channel sales efforts.
Betsy Roddy was named director of field marketing, and Terry West was named field marketing program manager for the solutions channel.
In her new position, Roddy will oversee the development and implementation of all marketing plans designed to help D-Link’s network of channel partners, including VARs, solution providers, distributors, retail and retail outlets.
Roddy’s prior experience includes more than six years as director of Internet and channel marketing for ViewSonic Corp., an international leader in computer and commercial display equipment, where she was responsible for all channel programs, promotions, communications and creative development in the United States, Canada and Latin America. She spent another seven years with a national advertising agency, where she managed key client relationships, senior-level communications and advertising campaigns for Symantec, Fujitsu and Websense and other major firms. Her experience also includes work with Logitech, Philips, Merisel and others.
Roddy has a master of business administration degree in international business from Webster University in Vienna, Austria, and a bachelor of arts degree in English with a business minor from Pennsylvania State University.
West will focus on keeping D-Link partner programs competitive while improving communication and training with D-Link channel partners.
Most recently an industry consultant, West has held long-term management positions with Lucent Technologies, Compaq, Sony and Symantec where she established and managed sales teams and developed and executed channel strategy for the IT marketplace.
West attended the University of Alberta and holds numerous sales, management and industry certifications.
