Those new television commercials for the Palm Pre might be strange, but apparently, they make you feel both happy and inspired. Yes, inspired. Inspired to buy a Pre, the company hopes.
Mediacurves.com just completed a study of the commercials and found happiness and inspiration were two of the most significant things felt by viewers while watching them. The company measured the reactions of approximately 300 people.
Perhaps more important, the survey found two-thirds of the viewers thought the commercials were effective. Yes, about one in six said the ad was confusing, but that’s a pretty small minority considering how many blogs there are out there discussing how utterly bizarre the ad campaign is.
And even better for Palm and Sprint – the most “good feelings” spike when the phone itself is displayed on the screen.
