For several months, it seemed like all you ever heard about were layoffs. The telecom industry wasn’t hit hard initially, but has taken some big blows in 2009. Maybe that’s starting to turn around.
AT&T says it’s hiring more than 100 new salespeople in Connecticut. They’ll be called upon for retail sales, going door-to-door, as well as sales management. Job fairs – with dates and times listed here – are being held this week in New Haven and Norwalk.
Anyone interested is asked to fill out an application online. Going to the job fairs is not a requirement, but it could certainly help, the company said.
