The ASCII Group Inc., an association of IT VARs, announced this week the beta availability of ASCII MSP Fuel to its members.
ASCII MSP Fuel provides the “juice” IT VARs need to offer managed services, according to a press statement. Powered by Kaseya, the service includes remote control, monitoring, patching, help desk, time control, billing and reporting. It requires no hardware or software. It also includes a number of tools, templates and training developed to jumpstart a managed service business.
“We recognized the value managed services played for our community at the very early stages,” said Jerry Koutavas, president of The ASCII Group. “This is just another ongoing effort by ASCII to reinforce and help our members move in the right direction if they have not already implemented a managed services strategy today.”
ASCII Group member Robert Belon, a Microsoft Small Business Specialist, said ASCII has made it affordable for his company to become an MSP. “ With no upfront investment on software or hardware – it was easy to get started,” Belon said.
