Verizon Communications Inc. has bumped up the speeds on its starter Internet tier and will give new customers a choice of a free netbook or Flip camcorder for signing up.
Most customers will see speeds increase from 10mbps to 15mbps downstream (5mbps up). In the New York City area, the bottom tier will give users 25mbps downstream, while the mid-tier will come in at 35mbps if customers get the triple play bundle for $109.99 per month.
New customers who sign up by August 15 for FiOS Internet with a connection speed of 25mbps or higher, FiOS TV Extreme HD service and FiOS Essentials voice service, can choose to get a free Compaq Mini netbook or a free Flip Ultra camcorder with the signing of a one-year service contract.
Security and UCaaS and SD-WAN, the triple-headed monster, dominated the news last week. https://t.co/Yoq7yrjhkf
