PAETEC Bundles Help Agents Target SMBs

PAETEC is reporting success with a new group of bundles designed to help its agents in major metropolitan areas target the SMB market, particularly those customers with single location or single circuit needs. Debuted at the Channel Partners Conference & Expo in March, the Small Business Advantage product set was designed with simplicity in mind, offering up four preconfigured bundles with set pricing with an automated quoting process.

“We’re starting to see some good activity and we’re getting some sales out of it,” said John Leach, president of the agent channel at PAETEC. “The genesis of it was that we wanted to give the agents a quick, streamlined way to get quotes on the small end of the business without going through the standard PAETEC profit model – which the channel manager and/or the agent would have to create to allow them to get competitive pricing and have some flexibility in configuring one of the four options – but allow them to serve that small end of the market quicker and more seamlessly than they currently could with PAETEC. And we really think we’ve done that with the four bundles.”

Leach said the accessibility of the bundles and the quoting process is the main selling point for Small Business Advantage. He said that PAETEC intends to continue to add to these initial four bundles to make them even more robust, including giving agents a little more flexibility of what they can add and delete from the bundles. Changes to the bundles and the announcement of their availability to new territories are expected toward the end of this month.

The current SMB bundles include:
