AT&T may be dissing the Palm Pre in smoke-filled back offices, but a partnership between the two could be on the horizon. Speaking at a conference Wednesday, AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson said he’d like to see his company sell the Pre when Palm’s exclusive deal with Sprint expires. No word yet when that contract ends.
There’s much speculation as to whether the Pre will be help a once-ahead-of-the-curve company rebound, or if it will land on its face. Despite its lock on the iPhone market, AT&T seems to be leaving open some room for the former.
The Pre goes on sale June 6.
