T-Mobile Prepared to Settle Class-Action ETF Suit

T-Mobile subscribers who last year sued the wireless provider for breaking laws when charging early termination fees (ETFs) soon could share more than $11 million in settlement money.

The Deutsche Telekom-owned T-Mobile is proposing to end the class-action suit with an $11.5 million settlement, which must be approved by a federal court in New Jersey.

Customers who were charged a flat-rate ETF from summer of 1999 through spring of 2009, or those whose contracts included ETFs, are covered under the proposed deal.
