Google in Hot Water Over Street View Privacy Concerns

Google Inc. (GOOG) keeps getting called out for privacy problems stemming from its Street View feature.

Greece has banned the Internet giant from taking any more photos for Street View until stringent privacy measures are in place, and Japan has asked Google to re-shoot all Street View photos within its borders.

A number of Japanese residents say Google has captured images within their properties, such as over fences. Google has agreed to re-take the photos, reducing angles by 16 inches.

In Greece, meanwhile, Street View efforts have been halted until Google responds to government inquiries about photo storage and other privacy concerns.
