So you don’t want to sit through the agonizing first 55 minutes of those boring Wednesday night American Idol results shows with lame performances by has-beens? The site DialIdol.com claims you don’t even need to watch the last five minutes, because it knows who’s going to win.
So how does it work? DialIdol is software that measures busy signal rates. It helps viewers decide which of their favorite contestants might need votes based on how many busy signals the phone banks on shows like American Idol and Dancing with the Stars are getting.
But don’t be shocked if you base who you’re going to vote for on this program and your favorite winds up getting dumped. While DialIdol claims it was accurate 97 percent of the time on last year’s season of American Idol, the site twice predicted that Kris Allen – who’s in this season’s final three – would be voted off last month.
