Microsoft (MSFT) now is offering a matchmaking Web site for VARs where channel partners can exchange leads or find new partnering opportunities. Partners can go to the site to create a profile and begin finding complementary solution providers in their area. The site enables VARs to pass on leads, sometimes with an incentive – the program is providing a $250 cash incentive for each Microsoft Dynamics Qualified Lead that a Microsoft Platform Partner enters into the Matchmaker referral tool between April 1 and June 15, according to the matchmaking Web site.
After some testing of the site last year, Microsoft opened the site to all partners last month and reports the number of users to be at approximately 800.
