Nortel at Fault for Much of AudioCodes Losses

Israel-based VoIP equipment maker AudioCodes Ltd. (AUDC) suffered net losses of $1.6 million in the first quarter of 2009, partly because its largest customer, Nortel Networks Corp. (NT), hasn’t paid for $1.7 million worth of purchases.

Nortel filed for bankruptcy in January and, by the end of March, still had not made good on the equipment it had bought from AudioCodes.

AudioCodes makes VoIP products including media and security gateways, servers and session border controllers.
