Cory Communications, a telecom agency based in Haddonfield, N.J., was named among South Jersey’s top 25 fastest growing companies for the second straight year, according to Rohrer College of Business researchers at Rowan University who studied sales for years 2006-2008.
Cory Communications provides customized telecom solutions for businesses nationwide. The company offers data and voice services, including local and long-distance, high-speed Internet, T1, DSL, VoIP, and audio and Web conferencing.
Cory Communications President Jack Zoblin credits the company’s growth during this difficult economic period to his company’s responsiveness to customer needs. For example, Zoblin made the counterintuitive decision to further reduce his client’s telecom costs, a move that cuts his own income, as the economic crisis hit.
“Our customers were hurting,” Zoblin said, “so we got in there and looked even harder for savings, and we found them. We were able to renegotiate the agreements based on new services being offered by the providers and the changing needs of the client.”
That move, coupled with new business acquisition, which came primarily from referrals, have kept the company on a growth path, Zoblin said.
“There are a lot of options for customers these days,” Zoblin says. “We match the usage patterns of the business to the carrier rates and programs available, and it gets pretty complicated, but we’re always able to find the best solution.”
The winners of the South Jersey 25 are announced annually in the Philadelphia Business Journal as the finest entrepreneurial ventures in the eight Southern New Jersey counties of Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean and Salem.
