Panasonic Combines Communications, Document Management Groups

Panasonic Corp. of North America announced it is combining its communications solutions and document management groups into the reformulated division, Panasonic Communications Company of North America.

This new organization brings together product lines in business telephony, document management and interactive collaboration tools. It offers a suite of productivity, communication and networking solutions for home and business, including cordless phones, network cameras and multifunction printers.

The new company is led by Bill Taylor as president. Nick Miyake will lead the company’s sales effort as executive vice president.

“The new company enables Panasonic to bring together key strengths that we possess in communications systems with a wide range of networkable document management solutions,” said Taylor. “Bringing these strengths together positions Panasonic Communications Company of North America for sustained growth based on the delivery of reliable, affordable and flexible solutions for a wide range of consumer and commercial applications. I’m excited about the top talent we have brought together to better serve our customers and channel partners.”
