Nortel Unit Goes for Mere $18M

We now know how much money Radware (RDWR) paid for Nortel Networks Corp.‘s (NT) application delivery assets: a mere $18 million.

That’s a bargain-basement price compared to the $7.8 billion Nortel forked out for those same assets in 2000.

But with Nortel in dire financial straits, executives have had little choice but to sell what worthwhile divisions it owns. There’s talk this week as well that Avaya and Siemens each are vying for Nortel’s enterprise unit.
